NOBODY is talking about stopping spending -- the subject of debate is what to buy <i>instead</i> of a horrible no-good very-bad future. the skunks of the world are trying to play the lay audience for saps, telling them that only <i>private</i> and <i>unregulated</i> spending counts toward GDP. that misrepresented number fits nicely into that strategy. there's never a bad time to slam industry regulators. yeah and the point being, that the money that we spend on mitigation and adaptation is money we spent.
